It concentrates studies focused on the remediation and conservation of the environment, going through the principles of sustainability. It will involve the knowledge of alternatives to sustainable development respecting the availability of natural resources, envisaging a modern scenario of concern for the environment, and in the case study phase, in which reality is confronted with the academy, will be sought the discussion of themes chains, such as alternative energy, biofuels, reuse of industrial waste, among others.

Studies involving systematized methods aimed at the control, monitoring, and environmental evaluation, using modeling and simulation of environmental data. Being the data obtained from scientific investigations involving biology, physical and chemical aspects. The environment is seen as a central theme for the approach to science, inspiring both the solution of practical problems and the teaching of science.
