The PPGCMA acts in the development of an Oceanic Regional Modeling Platform judged by the Special Program of International Cooperation / PECI of CNPq and approved according to the Process Number: 407376 / 2013-5. Two sandwich scholarships to be developed at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) / Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), a postdoctoral fellowship that is being used by the researcher Mario Reis developed in the Laboratory of Computer Simulation in the Environment LSCMAM / UFPA, as well as work assignments of teachers from PPGCMA to IST / UTL.

Description of the Activity:

Participation of the Program in the "International Cooperation in Nanobiotechnology Project: development of ceramic nanocarriers of antiinflammatory drugs (indomethacin and ibulprofen)", approved in the announcement of COFECUB / CAPES of international cooperation between Brazil and France. With this support, the work missions of teachers of the Program are being carried out, so, in June 2014, Prof. Waldinei Rosa Monteiro began his postdoctoral training in Limoges at Laboratoire: Science des Procédés Céramiqueset de Traitements de Surface (SPCTS), UMR CNRS 7315, Center Européen de La Céramique in Limoges-France, under the coordination of researcher Philippe Thomas, still in December the Professor Claudio Nahum Alves carried out a work assignment at the same Institute.

Collaboration with Dr. Vicente Moliner, from Universidad Jaume I, (Spain). This collaboration began with the development of the project "Application of Hybrid Methods (QM / MM) in the Study of the Effect of the Environment on Chemical and Biochemical Processes for Natural Products of the Amazon", approved in CAPES International Cooperation, 2006-2010. This project already results in the completion of Doctorate sandwich in Spain and co-orientation of Doctorate, as well as the use of computer equipment for calculations of enzymatic systems.

The partnership will enable the students of the PPGCMA to hold a sandwich doctorate in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Florida, as well as the availability to the UFPA group of programs and computational system for calculations.

During the postdoctoral fellowship of Professor Marcos Anicite, professor of PPGCMA, there was a partnership between the Program and the researchers Dr. Olivier Masson and Philippe Thomas of the Université de Limoges, France. The cooperation involves the development of the project entitled "International Cooperation in Nanobiotechnology: Development of Ceramic Nanocarriers of Bioactive Molecules with Anti-Inflammatory Activities (Indomethacin and Ibulprofen)". The research was approved in CAPES's International Cooperation announcement, with a period of validity from 2013 to 2017. The partnership will enable the students of the PPGCMA to hold a  sandwich Doctorate at the French university as well as the availability for the UFPA group to carry out analysis of PDF and X-rays, among others.
